The pastor come early in the morning to open the church for me. He gave me an energy drink and asked “Do you have money?”. Of course I had money. But not enough money to travel around the world. I was too shy to say that. So I smiled and got just drinking. A Korean sent me a message on my website to stay at their house. So I went to his house. They were so kind and gorgeous. They are married a couple and have two sons. She cooked Korean food for me. And their sons played with me all the time. I was pleased to stay with them.
Younger son. We have same game like that in South Korea. But we don’t use colors butcolors, but north, south, east and West!! It was fun to play with them.
Oldest Son. I really enjoyed playing with him!!! He is such a cute boy and so smart!!!
They brought me buffet. Always thankful…
She asked what is my favorite Korean food. So I said this one. So I said this one, but I didn’t think she would be able to cook it in the U.S. Because I thought it will be difficult to make this one in US. But next day she did made for me. I was impressed. Because my mom always made this one for me.
(This is Yukgaejang. Yukgaejang is a spicy, soup-like Korean dish made from shredded beef with scallions and other ingredients, which are simmered together for a long time. It is a variety of gomguk, or thick soup, which was formerly served in Korean royal court cuisine. It is believed to be healthy and is popular due to its hot and spicy nature.)
I looked around Korean Grocery with her.
This was oldest son’s hand. He taught me how to play the violin. It was my first time to learn and I did thank to him. Someday I will put a violin and harmonica on my bike and I will play on the road when I take a rest!! It will be awesome!!!! It would be awesome! I love to learn guitar. But it would be too difficult to carry. haha
I followed him in the afternoon. Looked fun.
Again Korean dish!!! This is the most my favorite dish!!!! I missed this one so much before!!!!
This is Samgyeopsal. It is a popular Korean dish. Commonly served as an evening meal, it consists of thick, fatty slices of pork belly meat (similar to uncured bacon). The meat, usually neither marinated nor seasoned, is cooked on a grill at the diners’ table. Usually diners grill the meat themselves and eat directly from a grill.
They invited other Korean family. So cute and lovely guys. I had so much fun with them. I really appreciate it.
I stayed in Phoenix almost for 2weeks in three different houses. She is one of my hosts. JUST GORGEOUS. She has a big smile and is always so kind. I thought if every police office was like her, it would be perfect forever!
Again on a bike.
My friends. Everything is my friend on the road. People, trees, nature, cats, dogs, animals….
When I ate two hamburgers for two dollars, the manager come to me and said “bring your bike to inside and it will be safe.” I was really impressed with his kindness. Actually I am still not comfortable to park my bike with all its stuff outside. So at that time I felt so safe.
Google map showed me this road. I thank googles map many times. But Some times……. oh…… WHAT THE HELL???? Fortunately, somebody let me know good way later and I got out of here.
That day I was chased by dogs over 10 times!!! How come so many dogs chased me????? I love dogs and cats. But when dogs chase me, then I am just so scared. I ,who am traveling around the wold on a bike, am vunerable to external inflences. Rain, windy, no shoulder, dead road, uphill, Dog chasing, chilly etc. So why I am on a bike? Because I just do it.
I rode oever 108km(67mi) for going to Casa Grande. My hosts were so nice. They had lots of traveling experience. Also he traveled Mexico by motorcycle. So I got lots of information from them.
Next day I had to ride over 123km(77mi). So I had to get up early in the morning. I wanted to say good bye the night before because I didn’t want to wake up her early. But she said it’s okay and the next day she gave me a good meal. Thank you so much.
I love the desert. Maybe I don’t love only the desert. I love everything in the earth.
I met a German on the road who is 47years old. I’ve met many cyclists who were older than me. I realized if somebody really wants to do something, then they don’t care about anything. They just do that.
Just Let’s do that we want!!!
I’ve seen many dead animals on the road. These days many dead snakes. I rode over 123km(77mi) at that day to go to Tucson. But it was flat.
Breakfast in a new house. Culture is so different. So I usually watch them and follow exactly! haha. My hosts were around 60 years old. They retired 8years ago and they are traveling around the world. They went Mexico by bike when they were around 50 years old. So awesome!! They were vegetarian and it was first time to stay in vegetarian family. I found that it was no problem and she cooked very well. So I enjoyed to have meal with them!
There is Tucson. Looks so small. I walked on a trail with host. It was good to see different kind of desert plants and Tucson.
My host
Me
I’ve seen many horses since I ride around the desert. Looks cowboy movie!
Host brought me his favorite shop and I watched many different desert plants.
I love this picture.
My host loves to make bags.
I’ve usually stayed in a house like this or in a tent!!! I’ve never paid a place to stay so far. But If I go to Mexico and the south, it would be different. I’ve usually stayed like this house or in a tent!!!
Yesterday, we went to volleyball game. I learned something after watching the game. If somebody makes a mistake, then we should encourage them, then they will finally achieve their goal. Why do I realize this so late…. I wish I realized it earlier!
