My opinion is NOT to go for the MSR tent tent.
They really are not durable / strong enough for extensive use.
I never had problems with my Hilleberg, which is fantastic, but indeed a bit expensive.
I am now using a lot the Nigor WickiUP 3 tent ( http://www.backpackingnorth.com/blog/2013/08/eureka-nigor-wickiup-3-sul-review ).
A fantastic tent with lots & lots of space.
Only drawback is thereβs no porche, but I really recommend it.
Another cheaper, inestructable tent that I used for ages in sometimes incredible bad wheather is the Saleway Micra tent.
Enjoy all your other purchases, it is Always so much fun to hit the road with new stuff π

I already wrote on the blog that I tried to contact as much as I can. Of course, I did contact them as well. They answered they cannot help it. All of them I’ve contacted didn’t try to help but just saying not possible cause it’s not possible. To get the answer “I will try to help you” is impossible even. How frustrated… and it was happened by the guy from Lupine travel. He tried to contact N.K authority for me because he was actually following my trip for a few years and he loved cycling. He also tried to cycle in N.K but he didn’t get permission although he has a business there. As I wrote on the blog, I got the answer “No” from N.K’s authority.

No, only in NZ. I think the way New Zealand farmer take care of cows is different, which makes cow friendly. NZ is really hilly and weather is harsh. Do later when you have more experience of cycling on the road. π

Water goes to the ground usually. Then I moved my tent to dry ground after taking shower. You can try at home with 1.5 L water. It is possible. First I use little bit water to my hair to make wet. Then use shampoo. Then rinse. Still I have 700 ml water. I use little bit of water to my body. Then use soap. Then rinse. π

Visa depends on your nationality. Every nation has different rule to enter. You have to check the immigration law of the country you want to go. I am from South Korea, so I am different from your passport. Please search on online about the country you want to go. Usually I don’t need visa to enter. If I need visa, then I search what I need as Korean.

Yes, it would be good experience. You would know real face of Africa, which media don’t show. You know how to cycle safely if you already had experience as cycling in Americas. Africa is the same as that. Use common sense! (By the way if you want to cycle as a solo female, I don’t recommend. Flirting is too much over there that it could give you very stressful if you are alone.)

It is my honor that you got inspired by me. Actually I hitchhiked from BC to Newfoundland in 2010(I stayed in Canada for a year with working holiday visa). It was really beautiful place. Thank you for sharing your experience. To me, it is the same that always I am so nervous to find a place to stay. I saw that actually many male cyclists are not nervous as much as I am to find a place to say. To travel with a bicycle as a male is much privileged. It is much better to get less help and find a place to stay by myself. Anyway I am born as female and I have to take care of myself much. However, it will not stop me to love adventure life. I am trying to enjoy this earth although it is hard. π

Really? Frost bite?
I just checked the temperature I recorded for journal. Actually it was very cold day before itching started. (-32~-25). I didn’t cycle at that time, but I did some small tour during daytime.
Why frost bite was spread?? It started from left ear. Then next day right ear.. then back neck, chick, front neck, face was being swollen.. even it was going to spread to the chest.
Since I took the tablet, spread was stopped. Frost bite could be spread to whole body????

When I was in Canada, usually it was -20~-30. But I’ve never had any problem.. So, I thought it was some kind allergy which I don’t know.

Some people have complained that these days the human are too cold and rude with technology. Many of people said the past was better than now.
I have different opinion. If I was born long time ago in the past, I had to only stay at the house because there was not much human rights for women. So, I appreciate to be born now than the past time.
I hope the future would be better than now for human rights I care much.

I thought Finnish would be much happier than South Korean, because in Korea many of people are struggling with too much competitive and stressful society. Some(or Many) of Korean want to immigrate to the country which has clean government, free education, less work time, and good welfare.
So I was surprised to see the rate of suicide in Finland. Then I realized that suicide can be caused by cultural thing.
